Role Overview As a Sales Executive in a publishing house you will be responsible for promoting and selling books to various channels including bookstores distributors online retailers educational institutions and libraries The role involves identifying new sales opportunities maintaining client relationships meeting revenue targets and helping the publisher expand its market presence Key Responsibilities Sales Business Development Promote and sell books print digital to retailers wholesalers schools colleges libraries and online platforms Achieve monthly quarterly yearly sales targets Explore new markets including regional and international opportunities Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with booksellers distributors and institutional buyers Provide product information updates on new releases and promotional materials Negotiate pricing discounts and sales terms Market Research Strategy Identify sales trends competitor activities and reader demand Suggest strategies to increase market share for specific genres or titles Work with the marketing team to plan book launches campaigns and author events Reporting Coordination Maintain sales records and prepare regular reports for management Coordinate with editors marketing and distribution teams to ensure smooth availability of stock Collect feedback from clients and market to improve publishing decisions Skills Qualifications Bachelor s degree preferably in Business Marketing Publishing or Literature Strong communication negotiation and interpersonal skills Passion for books reading habits and the publishing industry Ability to meet sales targets and work independently Familiarity with online sales channels Amazon Flipkart institutional e-platforms is a plus Willingness to travel for client meetings book fairs and events Job Types Full-time Fresher Freelance Contract length 100 days Pay 15 000 00 - 25 000 00 per month Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Flexible schedule Food provided Experience Publication 3 years Preferred Work Location In person Speak with the employer 91 7532940586
