Job Title Government Sales Liaison Location Location Department Sales and Marketing Reports to Sales Director Job Summary The Government Sales Liaison for a fire and safety manufacturing company is responsible for managing and developing relationships with government agencies to promote and sell the company s products and services This role involves navigating the complexities of government procurement processes ensuring compliance with regulations and effectively communicating the benefits of the company s fire and safety solutions to government clients Key Responsibilities Government Relations Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government officials and agencies Understand the structure processes and decision-making criteria of government bodies related to fire and safety procurement Represent the company at government meetings hearings and other events Sales and Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the government market Prepare and present proposals bids and contracts to government clients Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals Regulatory Compliance Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant government regulations and procurement laws Stay updated on changes in policies regulations and standards affecting fire and safety products Assist in the preparation of necessary documentation for regulatory approvals and certifications Tender Management Monitor government tender portals and procurement notices for relevant opportunities Coordinate the preparation and submission of tender documents including technical specifications and pricing Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tender responses Customer Support Provide excellent customer service to government clients addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for government personnel Collect and relay feedback from government clients to internal teams for product improvement Market Analysis Conduct market research to identify trends competitive landscape and opportunities within the government sector Provide insights and recommendations to the sales and product development teams Prepare regular reports on government sales activities and market conditions Collaboration Work closely with the engineering product development and marketing teams to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing delivery and after-sales support Collaborate with legal and finance teams to review contracts and ensure compliance Qualifications Education Bachelor s degree in Business Marketing Public Administration or a related field Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in government sales or liaison roles preferably within the fire and safety or related industry Technical Skills Strong understanding of government procurement processes and regulations Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Negotiation Skills Proven ability to negotiate contracts and close deals Analytical Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Desired Attributes Relationship Building Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and agencies Detail-Oriented High level of attention to detail and accuracy in documentation Self-Motivated Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Ethical Conduct Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and integrity Physical Requirements Ability to travel as required to meet with government clients and attend industry events Valid driver s license and reliable transportation Salary Insert salary range and benefits information How to Apply Interested candidates should submit their resume and cover letter to email address or application portal About Company Name Company Name is a leading manufacturer of fire and safety products dedicated to protecting lives and property We are committed to innovation quality and excellence in everything we do This job description outlines the critical responsibilities qualifications and attributes for the Government Sales Liaison role emphasizing government relations sales strategy regulatory compliance and customer support within the fire and safety manufacturing industry
