Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Purchase Executive responsible for the procurement of all indirect materials for the plant, ensuring compliance with established procurement practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong sourcing skills, an understanding of inventory management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient procurement operations and contributing to departmental goals. Primary Purpose: - Responsible for the purchase of all indirect material for the plant, adhering to end-user requirements and procurement practices. Duties & Responsibilities: - Strategically source all indirect commodity parts and/or services and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) needs. - Work with internal customers (user departments) to gather accurate material/service requirements. - Solicit Bids, proposals (RFI, RFP, RFQ, RFS), and review requisitions for goods and services. - Conduct thorough identification and selection of vendors. - Maintain an approved Vendors List for indirect material/service. - Perform spend analysis and categorization of spend on a monthly basis. - Release Purchase Orders (PO), follow up for delivery, liaison with logistics, and track shipments until delivered to the store. - Manage inventory management for indirect materials. - Track, monitor, and achieve set department goals. - Monitor and track Premium Freight. - Ensure updating of DMB (Daily Management Board) with status and perform PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) on a monthly basis. - Maintain adherence to QS, IS, TS procedures and practices. - Participate in Lean Six Sigma activities wherever assigned. - Comply with EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) requirements and participate in EHS initiatives. - Participate in emergency preparedness and other initiatives from the Environmental Core Team, Emergency Response Team, and Legal Team. Skill Sets & Competencies: - Hardcore exposure to Purchasing functions. - Knowledge of import procedures, formalities, and local statutory levies. - Good Analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. - Knowledge of QS/IS/TS quality systems & Environmental Management Systems. - Exposure to inventory management and control. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Value Engineering, and Reverse Engineering.
