Civil Site Engineer

Job Title Civil Site Engineer Department Projects Industry Civil Construction Reports To Project Manager Salary Range 25K to 30K Location Kochi Key Roles Responsibilities 1 Site Inspection and Work Allocation Perform morning and evening site inspections to assess safety quality and compliance with drawings and regulations Assign company laborers to daily tasks e g tile laying chipping curing concrete work and ensure materials e g cement M-sand are delivered to the required locations Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor their workforce for accurate Daily Progress Reporting DPR Conduct daily safety briefings TBTs with the Project Manager to communicate task-specific hazards and safety procedures Ensure all company laborers are present briefed and understand the safety expectations and responsibilities Promote a proactive safety culture by reinforcing site safety measures and hazard awareness 2 DPR Daily Progress Report Preparation Prepare detailed DPRs including worker attendance completed work material consumption and planned activities Support schedule tracking issue identification and team communication through accurate reporting 3 Quality Monitoring of Key Construction Activities Tile Works Check tile type size finish and layout match design specs Inspect tile surfaces for levels slopes alignment and joint consistency Ensure quality of adhesives and tools used inspect for defects or irregularities False Ceiling Works Confirm correct material usage and inspect clearances for MEP services Verify installation of GI framework gypsum boards trap doors and jointing as per specifications Prepare the surface for painting and check for dampness or structural inconsistencies Handrail Works Check materials and finishes meet specification Inspect alignment anchorage spacing and load-bearing compliance Ensure handrail is damage-free comfortable to grip and debris-free Painting Works Inspect surfaces for cracks moisture and cleanliness before painting Verify materials proper application of primer and coats and final finish Confirm post-painting cleanup and touch-ups are done per standard 4 Documentation Records Daily Work Permit Ensure issuance for high-risk activities detailing tasks location hazards and authorized personnel Material Approval Request MAR Submit and follow up on approvals for materials proposed for use Material Inspection Request MIR Coordinate inspections to verify material compliance before installation Cement Register Maintain accurate logs of cement usage receipts and stock balance Goods Received Note GNR Verify incoming materials and document deliveries for procurement and accounting 5 Evening Site Inspection Review completed work and evaluate progress against daily targets Check site cleanliness security and hazard controls for off-hours Plan and allocate resources for the next day Measure work done and calculate daily cement consumption Desired Qualifications Skills Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Engineering or equivalent 2-5 years of experience in site execution preferably in residential or commercial building projects Strong knowledge of construction methods materials safety procedures and quality standards Proficient in MS Office AutoCAD and site management tools Good communication planning and team coordination skills Competencies Attention to detail and quality Strong problem-solving ability Ability to handle pressure and multiple tasks Leadership and team supervision skills Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance Job Type Full-time Pay 25 000 00 - 30 000 00 per month
