Job Description: ob Title: Contracts Engineer 📍 Location: Mumbai, India 💼 Experience Required: 10–20 Years 🛢️ Industry: offshore oil and gas Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Contracts Engineer with a strong background in offshore oil & gas projects to manage and administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in contract formulation, negotiation, risk assessment, and post-award contract management within the EPC / Offshore industry. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and negotiate contractual documents, terms & conditions, and commercial agreements for offshore oil & gas projects. Support tendering and bid evaluation processes by identifying contractual risks and commercial implications. Administer pre-award and post-award contract activities, including contract execution, amendments, claims, and closeouts. Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and international contracting standards (FIDIC, LOGIC, NEC, etc.). Liaise with project management, legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth contract administration. Monitor contractor performance and support in claims management, variation orders, and dispute resolution. Maintain up-to-date contract status reports and documentation. Provide contractual advice during project execution and commercial negotiations. Required Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and EPC contracting procedures. Experience in offshore / subsea / oil & gas contracting (Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning phases). Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and contract management tools. Excellent communication and report writing abilities. Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration. Postgraduate qualification in Contract Management / Project Management will be an added advantage.
