The Middle East Tax Practice was established just over a year ago and is now a team of over 45 highly talented individuals from 17 different nationalities, making them not only highly skilled, but also truly diverse. We take a truly holistic approach to the market, offering expertise across a diverse range of servicesfrom Domestic and International Tax Services, Transfer Pricing, Tax Compliance Services, Global Transaction Tax, VAT Services, People Services and Tax Transformation. How you will contribute We are looking for a Manager - Corporate Tax for our growing team to be based either in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. This role will give you unique career opportunities in one of the fastest growing tax practices. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of Corporate Tax and Tax Compliance services, ensuring compliance with Corporate Tax (CT) and related regulations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality solutions to national and international clients across industries. The key responsibilities of the role are: - Providing advice regarding complex tax technical issues in the Middle East; - Leading with and preparing UAE CT compliance for the clients in your tax advisory portfolio (the role is expected to be approximately 50% consulting and 50% compliance); - Joining clients on-site, ensuring the successful delivery of projects and hands-on involvement in providing solutions to client's direct tax challenges, both domestic and international; - Be the key contact person managing client engagements, monitoring progress and ensuring agreed deadlines are met; - Managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting and client communication; - Preparing and reviewing corporation tax provisions and computations; - Undertaking technical research projects; - Managing and mentoring junior team members, helping them to upskill both during engagements and in formal / informal trainings; - Be a key member of business development and marketing initiatives; and - Manage client proposals and pitches to identify opportunities and bring in new clients and engagements. Qualifications: - A high-grade bachelor's degree (or equivalent/higher) from an accredited top-tier university in tax law, tax economics, tax accounting, finance, business, economics, or a similar discipline is essential - Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Tax Advisor, tax focused LLM, Advanced Diploma in International Taxation or a similar internationally recognized accounting, tax or finance qualification - Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in corporate tax and/or tax advisory in a Big 4 tax advisory and/or a boutique tax firm is essential, ideally some experience within the Middle East region - Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills; - Strong communication, presentation, project management and business development skills; - Ability to simultaneously work on several projects and effectively manage deadlines; - Analytical skills and precise working methods; - Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills; - High motivation to learn and grow; and - Fluency in English is essential.
