Description:Job Title: AVP - Corporate Tax (UAE Operations)Location: GurgaonExperience: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 57 years post-qualificationPreferred Background: Big 4 / Tier 1 consulting firm experience in tax compliance and deliveryRole Overview:We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to lead corporate tax compliance for UAE-based clients.The role requires strong expertise in corporate tax compliance and review, along with the ability to understand, interpret, and apply UAE Corporate Tax Law independently.The AVP will provide technical leadership, oversee compliance deliverables, handle client queries, and mentor a team of tax professionals.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance & Technical Review:- Lead and review monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate tax computations.- Prepare and file corporate tax returns accurately and on time.- Maintain backup working papers and supporting documentation for all filings.- Review deferred tax computations (DTA/DTL) and related disclosures under IFRS/Indian GAAP.Interpretation & Implementation of Law:- Interpret UAE Corporate Tax Law and provide practical guidance to clients.- Assess impact of regulatory updates and implement changes into compliance processes.- Provide technically sound positions on DTAA provisions, international taxation, and cross-border transactions.- Advise clients on compliance and best practices in line with UAE law.Client & Stakeholder Management:- Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and clarifications.- Participate in senior-level discussions with client finance and tax teams.- Provide clear technical explanations and resolve complex compliance issues.Team Leadership & Mentorship:- Lead, mentor, and upskill a team of tax professionals handling corporate tax compliance.- Review team deliverables for technical accuracy and completeness.- Conduct training sessions on corporate tax, DTAA, DTA/DTL, and UAE-specific compliance requirements.Required Skills & Experience:- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax compliance and review.Strong technical expertise in:- Indian corporate tax compliance- Preparation, review, and filing of corporate tax returns- Maintenance of backup working papers and documentation- Interpretation and application of UAE Corporate Tax Law- DTAA provisions and international taxation principles- Deferred tax (DTA/DTL) under IFRS/Indian GAAP- Big 4 / Tier 1 consulting firm background strongly preferred.- Proven ability to handle client queries independently and manage senior stakeholders.- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills (ref:iimjobs.com)
