Finance Transformation leader, FOAA

Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking an innovative and strategic AI Enablement Lead to drive the adoption and integration of artificial intelligence within our organization. This role will be crucial in transforming our Finance operations, enhancing efficiency, and delivering exceptional value to our customers through AI-powered solutions. We're seeking an innovative AI Solutions Lead to transform our financial processes through artificial intelligence. This role will focus on automating and enhancing financial operations, improving accuracy in accounting processes, and developing AI-powered solutions for financial analysis and reporting.

Key job responsibilities

• Implement AI solutions to automate financial processes, including account reconciliation, journal entry processing etc.

• Enhance financial reporting accuracy and reduce manual interventions.

•Work with accounting and technology teams to identify areas where AI can improve accuracy and efficiency in financial operations

•Support model development for anomaly detection in financial transactions, implement predictive analytics for month end close.

•Drive collaborative innovation by orchestrating multi-modal AI solutions, prototyping cutting-edge GenAI applications, evaluating advanced embedding strategies.

•Work in agile development with technology, accounting and PMO teams through AI-enhanced workflows.

•Work across teams to mentor team members in AI/ML best practices, design scalable solution to drive business outcomes for the customer.

•Lead strategy through end-to-end AI system optimization, cross-team capability alignment and implementation of robust AI governance and safety protocols by working with various stakeholders.

•Developing and implementing an organization-wide strategy, identifying key areas where AI can add value and drive innovation.

•Collaborating with various departments to integrate AI solutions, overseeing pilot projects, and scaling successful implementations across the organization.

•Managing the cultural aspects of AI adoption, including upskilling employees, addressing ethical concerns, and ensuring data readiness and infrastructure support for AI initiatives.

•This position would ideally combine strong accounting with technical expertise with proven strong leadership and change management skills to effectively drive organization forward on the transformational journey.

• Lead AI pilot projects, measure their impact, and scale successful initiatives across the organization.

• Work closely with tech teams and PMO teams to ensure data readiness and quality for AI applications within FOAA systems.

• Work with Risk team to implement AI governance frameworks to address ethical considerations and ensure responsible AI use in financial operations.

• Stay current with emerging AI trends and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to innovate within FOAA.
- CA/MBA in finance with some technical background
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML in global enterprise environments
- 14+ years of experience in financial services or fintech industries
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics
- Proven track record of successful AI project management and delivery- MBA Finance or equivalent as the role requires good understanding of Finance processes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change across multiple teams
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Customer focus and ability to work in fast paced ambiguous global environment
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) AI/ML services
- Large scale transformation experience and ability to influence global stakeholders.
