About Our Client The role of Category Manager involves managing and driving the growth of retail categories within the technology and telecoms industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that maximise sales and enhance customer experience in Bengaluru. Job Description - Develop and execute category strategies to optimise product offerings and sales performance. - Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities. - Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and product availability. - Work with marketing teams to design promotional campaigns that drive category sales. - Monitor category performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance profitability. - Coordinate with inventory teams to ensure proper stock levels and minimise wastage. - Support the e-commerce platform by ensuring accurate and appealing product listings. - Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve category goals. The Successful Applicant A successful Category Manager should have: - A degree in business, marketing, or a related field. - Experience in category management within the retail or technology and telecoms industry. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data effectively. - Proficiency in tools and software relevant to category management and analysis. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and stakeholder interactions. - A results-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed targets.
