The Role

Are you a tech-savvy problem-solver with a passion for ensuring optimal network performance. If so, look no further - Kyndryl is seeking a Network Support Specialist who will be the go-to expert for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer networks.

Key Responsibilities

- Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls to ensure network security and compliance.

- IPS Administration: Monitor and manage IPS systems to detect and prevent intrusions.

- Security Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce security policies, rules, and procedures.

- Work on Firewall rules and IPS signatures optimization for ensuring better performance and ease of management

- Network Traffic Analysis: Analyze network traffic to identify potential security threats.

- Incident Response: Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.

- Collaboration: Work with other teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.

- Work with OEM's and ensure timely updates on Software upgrade/Fixes, Coordinate with OEM for TAC cases and track for Quick resolution.

- Design and Implementation: Design and implement firewall and IPS solutions to meet organizational security needs.

- Architecture: Develop and maintain network security architecture, ensuring scalability and compliance.

- Advanced Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex network security issues and provide solutions.

- Security Policy Development: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.

- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.

- Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

- Should have 5-7 Years of experience in managing network security operations, should have Hands on experience in managing Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet & other firewalls,

- Expertise in firewalls: In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting.

- IPS expertise: Advanced understanding of intrusion prevention systems and their role in network security.

- Network security architecture: Experience designing and implementing network security architectures.

- Compliance: Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

- Project Management & Leadership: Experience project management tasks, leading teams or mentoring junior security professionals.

- Qualification - Degree

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience.

- Industry certifications: Relevant certifications like Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Security, Checkpoint CCSE or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator.

- Scripting and automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.

- Threat intelligence: Knowledge of threat intelligence and advanced threat detection.
