We are now seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Export to lead our export operations, create growth strategies, and build a high-performing team. Role Overview: As the Head of Export, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the export division, driving international sales, and developing key strategies to expand our market share globally. You will work closely with the leadership team to set ambitious goals and ensure the team is aligned with these targets, developing and executing plans to meet and exceed them. Your role will also involve identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategy Development: - Develop and implement comprehensive export strategies for both Basmati and Non-Basmati rice. - Identify key international markets and establish long-term export goals. - Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to create actionable insights. 1. Team Leadership & Training: - Build, manage, and lead a high-performing export team. - Create a training program to continuously develop the team’s skills and product knowledge. - Set clear performance targets and motivate the team to consistently achieve them. - Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and results within the export division. 1. Sales & Business Development: - Drive export sales and work towards achieving set targets and revenue growth. - Build and maintain strong relationships with international distributors, clients, and partners. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key international markets. 1. Reporting & Analysis: - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for export sales and team performance. - Prepare and present regular reports on export activities, market trends, and financial performance to senior management. - Analyse export data to assess growth opportunities and risks. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Minimum 7-10 years of experience in export management or international sales, preferably in the rice or agricultural sector. - Strong understanding of Basmati and Non-Basmati rice markets, export regulations, and international trade. - Proven experience in team management and leadership. - Ability to develop and implement successful export strategies. - Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in using CRM and export management software. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
