Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Sourcing Specialist with experience in sourcing, vendor management, and production coordination, ideally within the home dcor, furnishings, or lifestyle segment. The role will ensure range planning, cost-effective procurement, on-time production, and quality compliance, while also contributing to category planning and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Vendor Management

- Identify and evaluate suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers (local & global).
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to achieve target margins.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and supply.

Production Management

- Oversee production from sampling to final delivery, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines.
- Resolve bottlenecks and ensure smooth coordination between vendors and internal teams.
- Work with QC teams to ensure brand quality standards are met.

Category & Commercial Contribution

Support range planning based on trend, seasonality, and consumer insights.

- Track category sales, channel sales, margins, and inventory to inform replenishment or markdown strategies.
- Provide insights based on market trends and customer demand.

Conduct regular sales analysis to optimize product mix, pricing, and markdown strategies.

Ensuring revenue targets and profitability are met for the brand.

Prepare regular category performance reports, cost analysis, and supplier scorecards

Quality & Compliance

- Implement QC protocols and conduct periodic product inspections.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and sustainability guidelines.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with design, merchandising, logistics, and marketing teams for timely launches as per the quarterly plans.
- Align product readiness with campaign and sales timelines.

Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Textile/Fashion Design, or related field.
- 45 years experience in sourcing, production, or merchandising (home dcor/lifestyle preferred).
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of category performance metrics and costing.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production tracking tools.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits and quality checks.
