The Retention Technology team is part of the broader Direct To Consumer (DTC) team, which aligns with our corporate strategy of putting our customers and our direct relationships with our customers first. The Lead Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of both front-end and back-end components to enhance the customer experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive integration and functionality, aligning the entire stack with business objectives and user needs. The developer will also identify opportunities for improving the performance and scalability of applications in a fast-paced, global fashion retail environment. The Gig: As a Lead Developer, you will: - Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of both front-end and back-end components for complex multi-channel customer experience projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban). - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive integration and functionality across the stack. - Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Support project timelines by identifying and mitigating risks and resolving technical bottlenecks. - Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for performance optimization and efficiency across the entire application. - Utilize data-driven insights to inform architectural and design decisions, demonstrating the impact of full-stack development. - Foster a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation. The stuff that sets you apart: Must-Have Experience: Required Skills & Experience-Lead Engineer, Retention: - Strong proficiency in front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.Js) and back-end (Java, Python, Node.Js, Ruby, SQL, NoSQL) technologies. - Proven experience with RESTful API design and development. - Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development. - Familiarity with Git-based version control systems. - Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Hands-on expertise in modern Martech tooling and integrations across CRM, CDP, analytics, marketing automation, personalization, and advertising ecosystems. - Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including pipelines, ETL, and streaming. - Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for application hosting and data infrastructure. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills. - Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. - Experience working in enterprise Martech stacks integrating CRM, CDP, analytics, and automation platforms. - Background in data governance, privacy compliance, and consent management frameworks. - Exposure to personalization and advanced customer segmentation. - Previous experience in customer-focused industries (e.G., e-commerce, SaaS, retail, financial services). Nice to Have: - Experience in the retail industry, particularly within a global context. - Experience with the Google tools such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Big Query - Proven track record of collaborating cross-functional technology teams in front-end development or customer experience projects. - Experience in analyzing and mapping customer journeys, and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
