Job Title: Application Tester Experience: 1 Year Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Application Tester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, ensuring quality, identifying defects, and improving product reliability. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile development environment. Key Responsibilities: - Execute manual test cases to validate application functionality, performance, and security. - Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using defect-tracking tools - Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and define test cases. - Perform functional, regression, integration, usability, and performance testing on web and mobile applications. - Ensure comprehensive test coverage by designing and maintaining test cases, test scripts, and test data. - Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in resolving issues reported by stakeholders. - Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. - Ensure adherence to QA best practices, industry standards, and compliance requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle). - Experience with manual testing, and basic knowledge of automation testing tools like Selenium, Appium, or TestNG is a plus. - Familiarity with API testing tools (e.G., Postman, SoapUI) and SQL for database validation. - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control tools (e.G., Git). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. - Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Nice-to-Have: - Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter. - Basic scripting skills in Python, Java, or any other programming language. - Certification in ISTQB Foundation Level or any relevant QA certification.
