Hardware Engineer

We are looking for a qualified Hardware Development Engineer with extensive experience in the development and implementation of Ethernet-based interfaces to join our team The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of circuit design EMC compliant layout and commissioning The candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of embedded devices and systems for our encoder product line The focus will be on hardware development in the field of fieldbus communication MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Design develop and maintain hardware for embedded devices and systems with a focus on Fieldbus communication Create and optimize circuit layouts for fieldbus-based Encoder products such as PROFINET Ether CAT Ethernet IP Profibus DP Commissioning and testing of hardware layouts Conduct EMC testing and ensure compliance with relevant standards Certification tests Preparation and carry out fieldbus-specific certification tests Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate new product designs Help build and improve the Fieldbus development team Continuously enhance the Fieldbus encoder products through customer feedback Candidate is expected to travel internationally 40 during the onboarding phase and 20 once the onboarding phase is complete COMPETENCIES Proven experience in hardware design and circuit layout University degree Electrical Engineering or a related field Expertise in Ethernet technology and protocols Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Very good communication skills and experience in working with global R D teams and related areas such as hardware and software development system testing and type testing Experience with system-on-chip solutions such as Hilscher netX is an advantage Fortive Corporation OverviewFortives essential technology makes the world stronger safer and smarter We accelerate transformation across a broad range of applications including environmental health and safety compliance industrial condition monitoring next-generation product design and healthcare safety solutions We are a global industrial technology innovator with a startup spirit Our forward-looking companies lead the way in software-powered workflow solutions data-driven intelligence AI-powered automation and other disruptive technologies Were a force for progress working alongside our customers and partners to solve challenges on a global scale from workplace safety in the most demanding conditions to groundbreaking sustainability solutions We are a diverse team 18 000 strong united by a dynamic inclusive culture and energized by limitless learning and growth We use the proven Fortive Business System FBS to accelerate our positive impact At Fortive we believe in you We believe in your potential your ability to learn grow and make a difference At Fortive we believe in us We believe in the power of people working together to solve problems no one could solve alone Fortive For you for us for growth
