Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Technical Development Manager to lead multiple Agile development streams focused on building cutting-edge data products and solutions. You will manage cross-functional Scrum teams, translate business needs into actionable development plans, and engage directly with senior stakeholders to drive the product vision forward.

This role requires deep technical understanding, Agile leadership, hands-on exposure to modern data tech stacks (Databricks, Power BI, cloud services), and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Agile Leadership: Lead and manage multiple Agile/Scrum teams across various data product development streams. Define sprint goals, backlogs, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior management and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define roadmaps, and translate them into structured technical initiatives.
- Product Development & Execution: Drive full lifecycle of product developmentfrom requirements to architecture, design, development, and deployment.
- Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present detailed management-level reports and product updates to senior leadership.
- Technical Oversight: Provide strong technical direction and hands-on guidance, especially with Databricks, Power BI, Spark, and data pipelines.
- Quality Focus: Establish and enforce best practices in coding, testing, performance, and documentation.
- Team Leadership: Coach and mentor team members, nurture a high-performance culture, and promote collaboration across technical and business domains.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Experience:

- 14+ years of total experience in IT, with a minimum of 5+ years in leading data/analytics product development in a technical management capacity.
- Prior experience working in a product company or data platform development environment.

- Agile Proficiency:

- Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, Scrum, and DevOps processes.
- Ability to manage parallel development streams and distributed teams effectively.

- Data Technologies:

- Mandatory:

- Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)
- Power BI (Dashboards, DAX, Data Modelling)
- SQL, Python
- CI/CD tools, version control (Git), testing automation frameworks
- Azure Data Services (ADF, Data Lake, etc.)

- Good to Have:

- Kafka, MongoDB, Talend

- Business Communication:

- Proven experience in creating C-level presentations, business cases, status reports.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.

- Leadership Attributes:

- Self-motivated, proactive, and focused on outcomes.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- A go-getter mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Advanced certifications in Agile/Scrum (e.g., CSM, SAFe) or Data Engineering (Azure/Databricks) preferred.
