This role requires a keen understanding of market dynamics, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers. On a Typical Day You Will: - Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Identify and evaluate sourcing opportunities to drive cost savings and enhance supply chain efficiency. - Supplier Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, delivery, and cost. - Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to stay informed of industry trends, emerging suppliers, and market conditions. - Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the company, including pricing, delivery, and service agreements. - Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as Product Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. - Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and supplier performance. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the sourcing function and implement best practices.
