We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of SENIOR ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT In This Role, You Will Leadership & Team Management - Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers specializing in Python, Kubernetes, and DevOps. - Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture that brings together engineers, product owners, and stakeholders. - Drive the technical growth of the engineering community, staying abreast of industry trends and promoting continuous learning. Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management - Act as the primary technology partner for CIB and Wholesale Risk Analytics stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions. - Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex regulatory and business transformation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. - Proactively manage project risks and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies and providing timely escalations to senior management. Technical & Architectural Oversight - Collaborate closely with architects to define and implement a robust, scalable, and secure platform architecture, ensuring alignment with our Future-State Architecture (FSA) principles. - Actively drive the application modernization agenda, creating and executing roadmaps for the decommissioning of legacy systems and migrating functionality to strategic platforms. - Ensure all solutions are rigorously reviewed and approved through the required governance forums. - Uphold best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, providing technical guidance and hands-on support across the entire delivery lifecycle. - Guarantee the high availability, scalability, and security of all services delivered by the team. Technology Risk & Compliance - Ensure all products and services comply with mandatory regulatory requirements and internal risk and control frameworks. - Lead the integration of wholesale risk models, ensuring the solutions are compliant with all relevant modeling and data governance regulations. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Educational Foundation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. - Industry Experience: 12+ years of experience in the Financial Services IT industry, with deep domain knowledge in Wholesale Risk Analytics and/or CIB Credit Lending. - Proven Leadership: A strong track record in a technical leadership role, with demonstrable experience engineering and delivering complex, enterprise-scale software products. - Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience leading projects using Agile and Scrum methodologies. - Strategic Mindset: A holistic understanding of front-to-back data flows within an enterprise environment and the ability to make complex decisions in ambiguous situations. - Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven credibility to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Global Collaboration: The ability to thrive in a global, multi-cultural, and diverse work environment in various locations. Core Technical Skills - Architecture: Extensive knowledge of modern architectural patterns, including REST APIs, API Gateways, and microservices. - Cloud & Kubernetes: Deep understanding of a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and managed Kubernetes services (GKE, EKS, AKS). Proficiency in Kubernetes deployment strategies using YAML, with knowledge of cloud-native networking concepts like service mesh and service discovery. Experience with secrets management solutions (e.g., HashiCorp Vault) is essential. - DevSecOps & CI/CD: Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools, code coverage analysis, and vulnerability management. - Testing & Quality: Knowledge of modern automation testing practices and BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber). - Observability: Familiarity with tools like Splunk and AppDynamics is highly beneficial.
