About the role:

The Directorate of Student Life at GITAM (Deemed to be University) is dedicated to fostering the holistic growth and well-being of students while aligning with the University’s career-focused mission. As a Senior Executive – Student Life, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing non-academic student life activities on campus, ensuring students have an enriching and fulfilling university experience

Education & Experience

- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, Event Management, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in student engagement, event management, or institutional activities coordination.

- Prior experience working with educational institutions or student life departments will be preferred.

- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills in English ( Oral & written)
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a dynamic campus environment.
- Experience using data to drive student-involved program development
- Experience working with youth and passionate about enhancing student experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of diverse events and programs designed to enhance the student experience, promote campus engagement, and foster a sense of community.

- Organize activities such as orientation programs, cultural festivals, workshops, and other co-curricular initiatives.

- Manage event logistics, including venue arrangements, budgeting, vendor coordination, and ensuring compliance with campus policies and regulations.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to various student clubs and organizations, enabling them to plan and execute successful activities and initiatives.

- Advise club leaders, facilitate meetings, and assist in resource allocation for club events and projects.

- Ensure the timely submission of event reports, bills, and documentation by all student clubs.
- Manage the implementation of student orientation programmes within the campus with the aim to familiarize new students with the campus.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events in full compliance with directives issued by regulatory bodies such as the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

- Support with the development and implementation of Student Life policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates.
- Support with the development and analysis of system-wide student surveys to identify room for improvement.
- Serve as an active member in various statutory compliance committees related to student welfare, safety, and institutional governance.
