Role Overview: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all transactions. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization as we continue to grow. This position requires a high level of proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets. Key Responsibilities: · Manage all accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger using Zoho Books. · Handle month-end and year-end closing processes. · Prepare and manage invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. · Conduct regular bank and payment gateway reconciliations. · Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. · Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns. · Process payroll and manage employee expense reimbursements. · Create and maintain detailed financial reports and analyses using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. · Collaborate with the management team to assist with budgeting and forecasting. What We’re Looking For (Requirements): · Location: This is a hybrid position. Candidates must be from West Bengal and able to commute to our office as required. · Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role. · Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Zoho Books is mandatory. · Spreadsheet Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas) are essential. · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, standards, and tax regulations (GST, TDS). · Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a hybrid environment. · Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills.
