SUPA PUNE Ahmednagar Maharashtra India Department BESS STORE LOGISTICS Job posted on Aug 27 2025 Employment type REGULAR JOB DESCRIPTIONSECTION I BASIC INFORMATION ON THE ROLE Position Name Store Logistic Manager Function Line of Business BESS Grade Reporting to Functionally Administratively Roles Reporting into No of employees Role Description SECTION II JOB SUMMARY The Manager - Store Logistics will be responsible for overseeing all store warehouse and logistics operations related to Battery Energy Storage System BESS projects The role includes inventory control warehouse management inbound outbound logistics vendor coordination customs export-import compliance and ensuring smooth material movement for fabrication assembly and project execution SECTION III DO - KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE Perspective Responsibility Key Responsibilities Store Inventory Management Manage receipt inspection storage and issuance of materials including batteries containers electrical mechanical components and project consumables Maintain accurate stock levels through ERP SAP and ensure timely reconciliation Implement proper storage practices for sensitive equipment e g lithium-ion batteries power electronics ensuring safety EHS and fire safety compliance Conduct periodic stock audits cycle counts and inventory optimization Logistics Material Handling Plan and execute transportation of heavy equipment containers and modules from vendors to site factory Manage inbound outbound logistics for domestic and international shipments road sea air Coordinate with freight forwarders CHA Custom House Agents transporters and warehouse service providers Ensure compliance with DG Dangerous Goods transportation norms for lithium batteries Export-Import Documentation Oversee customs clearance import export procedures and documentation Manage HS codes duty structure and exemption benefits relevant to BESS imports Ensure adherence to legal tax and government regulations DGFT Customs GST etc People Process Management Lead and mentor store logistics team members Ensure safe working practices in warehouse logistics operations Establish SOPs for warehouse inventory and logistics management aligned with ISO Lean practices Liaise with project procurement quality and finance teams for smooth coordination SECTION IV DELIVER - KEY OUTPUTS RESULTS FROM THE ROLE Key Performance Indicators KPI What are the measurable indicators for the role Measurable Deliverables Accuracy of stock records Inventory vs Physical On-time delivery of material to site fabrication Logistics cost optimization and savings Compliance with safety statutory norms Efficient warehouse utilization and space optimization SECTION V DISPLAY - KNOWLEDGE SKILLS In this section please mention the qualification technical skills and capabilities which are essential to execute the role It may be a reflection of your own qualification and skills Qualification and technical skills required to execute the role Please mention any functional knowledge E g PhD in xyz QualificationsBachelor s degree in Supply Chain Logistics Mechanical Electrical Engineering or related field MBA in SCM preferred Technical Skills MS Office Project Knowledge of SAP is preferred Experience levels required to execute this role E g 2-5 yrs of experience as an Electrical Engineering in Battery Solar Grid Specific Experience 8 - 12 years in electric engineering in Battery Automative Over all Experience 8 - 12 years in electric engineering in Battery Automative Behavioral skills competencies required for the role E g Attention to detail Behavioral Skills Strong knowledge of logistics warehousing and inventory management Hands-on experience in ERP SAP for store management Understanding of DG logistics international shipping and customs regulations Familiarity with lithium-ion battery handling storage and EHS protocols Leadership and team management capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills SECTION V KEY INTERACTIONS Mention names of the roles which are not in your department with whom this role interacts Key Interaction - Internal Nature or purpose of interaction Team Members and Inter-departmental members Seek instructions provide technical advice Keep them informed of progress
