The Role We’re hiring a Payroll Assistant who will handle the back-end data work that powers payroll. You’ll gather approved data, organize it into clean spreadsheets, run basic completeness checks, and pass a ready-to-use package to the Payroll Coordinator—so payroll can start on time and run smoothly. This role is data-focused and does not edit hours. Key Responsibilities - Collect approved payroll data from designated internal sources. - Organize data into clean, standardized spreadsheets (consistent columns, formats, and basic checks). - Verify completeness (names, projects, approved hours present); flag gaps to the owning team (no hour edits). - Maintain simple logs/trackers (intake list, missing items, period checklist). - Build summary tabs by worker/project to support the Coordinator’s review. - Save files in the right folders with clear names so everything is easy to find. - Communicate clearly, follow up on pending items, and meet cut-off timelines. What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree (Business, Accounting, Commerce, or related). - 1–3 years in payroll/timekeeping/data operations (logistics/construction/BPO preferred). - Fluent English (spoken & written) for clear email and occasional calls. - Strong Excel/Google Sheets (filters, basic pivots, lookups, formatting, data validation). - High attention to detail, organized filing habits, and reliable follow-through. - Team-player mindset with a focus on process and deadlines.
