Sr Purchase Manager- PurchaseCompany Name Rawalwasia Textile Industries Pvt Ltd Industry CoalJob Title Sr Purchase ManagerHours Full-TimeLocation Surat GujaratJob PurposeThe Senior Purchase Manager will lead the procurement of Indian coal focusing on sourcing from Indian coal mines through the Indian Coal Auction Process The role requires strong expertise in coal grades and GCV Gross Calorific Value ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with the companys quality and operational requirements This position demands managing supplier relationships negotiating contracts and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory policies Job Duties Lead the procurement of Indian coal from auctions and suppliers Participate and evaluate bids in the Indian Coal Auction Process ensuring competitive procurement Maintain expertise in Indian coal mines their grades GCV ASH and other relevant coal specifications Assess coal grades GCV GAR to meet the companys operational and quality standards Collaborate with operations teams to align procurement with coal quality requirements Build and manage supplier relationships focusing on cost-effective contracts and efficient deliveries Negotiate agreements with coal vendors to achieve the best terms and pricing Ensure compliance with all regulatory environmental and safety standards in coal procurement Monitor market trends government policies and industry regulations that affect coal sourcing Manage procurement records contracts and documentation for future reference Knowledge In-depth understanding of Indian coal mines their grades GCV ASH TM IM FC and auction procedures Strong familiarity with the Indian Coal Auction Process and related regulatory frameworks Knowledge of logistics transportation and coal storage ensuring supply chain efficiency Skills Proficient in negotiating and managing coal procurement contracts Ability to evaluate coal quality based on technical parameters such as GCV GAR ADB ARB ASH and Moisture Strong analytical and decision-making skills particularly in auction processes and procurement strategy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate with suppliers and manage relationships Proficient in MS Office and procurement software for managing contracts and tracking purchases Attributes Detail-oriented with strong organisational capabilities Ability to work efficiently under pressure especially during time-sensitive procurement processes Proactive and self-driven with the ability to manage large-scale procurement operations independently Education Graduate in Commerce or any specialisation in Business Management or related fields Experience 5 to 10 years of experience in coal procurement particularly in Indian coal mines and auction processes Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large coal purchasing operations in a high-demand environment Safety and Compliance Ensure all procurement processes adhere to industry safety and environmental regulations Implement best practices in coal handling and transportation to maintain compliance with safety standards Perks and Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses Opportunities for career advancement within the company Continuous training and development programs to enhance procurement expertise and industry knowledge No of Vacancies 2 Vacancies
