Job Description Position: Grants Manager Full-Time Role, No Option for Part-Time Work Location: Mumbai/Delhi/Jaipur The candidate must also be willing to commute to our offices in Udaipur and Bangalore to facilitate regular coordination and in-person meetings, and to meet work expectations during deadlines. About the Opportunity Khushi Baby expects to grow into a $3M/year organization by 2027, building deeper programmatic impact and financial sustainability. The Partnerships team is at the forefront of this growth, tasked with increasing revenue streams from high net worth individuals (HNIs), family foundations, multilateral organizations, government contracts, and strategic calls for proposals (RFPs). The Grants Manager will play a central role in stewarding relationships with donors by ensuring timely, accurate, and compelling reporting across our diverse portfolio of grants. This includes supporting compliance, coordinating inputs from across programs, finance, and leadership, and maintaining Khushi Baby's reputation for transparency and excellence in delivery. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to work with international and national funders across philanthropy, HNI, CSR, and multilateral settings. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated expertise in grants management, an eye for detail, and strong editorial skills to package technical inputs into donor-ready narratives. This role requires a candidate adept at balancing compliance requirements with the ability to communicate programmatic impact clearly, across a wide range of domains from digital health to climate-health adaptation and AI for diagnostics. Core Responsibilities Grants Management and Compliance - Manage the end-to-end post-award grants cycle including budgets, reporting, amendments, and closeouts. - Ensure compliance with FCRA, CSR, and donor-specific requirements. - Maintain reporting calendars and systems to ensure all submissions are accurate and on-time. - Coordinate with finance and program teams to track expenditures against donor budgets. Project Management - Develop standardized reporting templates and knowledge repositories for efficiency. - Set up internal reporting cadences to gather quarterly inputs from program and finance teams. - Maintain a master repository of donor requirements, past reports, and program data. - Escalate technical sections to program leads selectively, while ensuring editorial consistency. Communications and Narrative Building - Draft and edit donor reports, synthesizing inputs from technical experts into coherent and compelling narratives. - Ensure reports balance compliance with clear communication of impact and learning. - Maintain consistency in storytelling across donors while tailoring content to specific funder requirements. Internal Coordination - Act as a bridge between Partnerships, Programs, and Finance to streamline reporting. - Support leadership and fundraising colleagues by providing timely data for proposals and renewals. - Train internal teams on donor compliance requirements and reporting best practices. About the Candidate Qualifications: University degree in public health, social work, development economics, management, communications. An advanced degree in the mentioned fields or an MBA is desirable. Languages: Excellent written and spoken English language skills; knowledge of Hindi, Marathi or Kannada is an asset. Work experience: - 57 years of relevant experience in grants management, compliance, and donor reporting within Indian nonprofits. - At least 1 year of experience managing and reporting on portfolios of 1015 Cr from multiple donors. - Prior experience reporting for FCRA-funded grants is required. - Exposure to CSR funding, philanthropic donors, and multilaterals is highly desirable Skills/Competencies: - Strong organizational and project management skills. - Detail orientation, with ability to manage multiple deadlines. - Ability to synthesize diverse technical content into funder-ready narratives. - Comfortable coordinating across technical, programmatic, and finance teams. - Able to build and maintain standardized processes for reporting and compliance. Compensation Details The remuneration offered will be competitive with industry standards, commensurate with the candidate's experience, grant size managed and skill sets.
