Role Overview The Grant Manager will take complete ownership of the grant management function. This includes researching funding opportunities, developing proposals, coordinating submissions, managing post-award compliance, and ensuring timely reporting to funders. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong writing skills, and meticulous attention to detail in documentation and compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Grant Identification & Research - Proactively identify new grant opportunities from foundations, corporates, and government agencies aligned with the organization's mission and priorities. - Maintain an updated database of potential funders, including submission calendars and eligibility requirements. 2. Proposal Development & Submission - Lead the end-to-end proposal process, drafting narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation. - Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather input and ensure proposal accuracy and alignment with organizational priorities. - Manage timely submission of complete and compelling proposals. 3. Grant Administration & Compliance - Oversee the post-award process including documentation, disbursement tracking, and funder communication. - Ensure all reporting, renewal, and audit requirements are met as per funder and organizational policies. - Maintain all grant data for future reference. 4. Financial Tracking & Reporting - Coordinate with finance teams and director to track budgets, expenditures, and variances. - Prepare interim and final financial reports for funders. - Support internal audit readiness related to grant funds. 5. Communication & Relationship Management - Build and maintain relationships with grantors, foundations, and funding partners. - Serve as a primary point of contact for all funder communications. - Represent the organization professionally in written and verbal interactions with donors. Required Skills & Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Development Studies, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field. - Minimum 57 years of experience in grant management, proposal writing, or fundraising for nonprofits (preferably with US-based funders). - Strong understanding of grant compliance, reporting, and funder regulations. - Excellent written communication and presentation skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
