Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Sous Chef located in Kumbakonam. The Junior Sous Chef will assist the Sous Chef in managing the kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food quality, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Junior Sous Chef will also contribute to menu planning and development and help in training junior staff members.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Supervisory skills for overseeing kitchen staff and operations
- Experience in kitchen inventory management and stock control
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Ability to contribute to menu planning and development
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
