1. Asset Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the acquisition, deployment, inventory, maintenance, and disposal of IT hardware assets.

Ensure hardware assets are tracked accurately throughout their lifecycle.

2. Inventory and Asset Tracking:

Maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of IT hardware assets using asset management tools.

Conduct regular audits to verify asset records and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

3. Procurement and Vendor Management:

Collaborate with procurement teams to manage hardware purchases and vendor contracts.

Negotiate with vendors to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery of assets.

4. Compliance and Governance:

Ensure hardware asset management complies with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Develop and enforce asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.

5. Budgeting and Cost Optimization:

Monitor and control IT asset costs, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Assist in budget planning for hardware procurement and maintenance.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with IT teams, end-users, and stakeholders to understand hardware requirements and resolve issues.

Provide regular updates on asset status, availability, and performance metrics.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

Generate reports on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle status.

Analyze asset data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Technical Skills:

- Strong knowledge of IT asset management tools and systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper).
- Familiarity with IT hardware types, configurations, and specifications.

Organizational and Analytical Skills:

- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and asset tracking.
- Strong analytical skills to identify asset-related trends and areas for improvement.

Communication and Collaboration:

- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certification:

- Certification in IT Asset Management (e.g., IAITAM CHAMP or CITAM) is preferred.
