Job Description We're Hiring | Marketing & Business Development Engineer Location: Chennai/ Thoppur, Tamilnadu (On-site / Hybrid) Company: Raptor Aero Systems Private Limited Domain: Drones | UAVs | Aerospace | Defence Tech Experience: 26 years (engineers preferred) About Us Raptor Aero Systems is an Indian deep-tech aerospace startup building indigenously designed UAV platforms, avionics, and autonomy solutions for defence, agriculture and industrial use cases. We are a hands-on, engineering-first team and are now looking for someone who can take our technology to the market. The Role We're looking for a Marketing & Business Development Engineer someone who understands technology, enjoys customer conversations, and can help us build markets, not just presentations. You'll work directly with founders and the core engineering team, owning everything from lead generation to pilots, partnerships, and early revenue. What You'll Do Own revenue generation from Raptor Aero's existing UAV platforms, avionics and software product portfolio Identify near-term customers and convert existing products into paid pilots, PoCs, and repeat orders Build and manage a sales pipeline from first conversation to closure Drive pricing, commercial discussions, and proposal closures with customers Work closely with founders to define revenue targets and monthly/quarterly sales plans Upsell and cross-sell within existing customer accounts Develop partnerships and channels that directly contribute to revenue, not just visibility Represent Raptor in customer demos, negotiations, and industry meetings Feed customer and revenue insights back into product roadmap and prioritisation What We're Looking For - Engineering background (Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Robotics) - 26 years experience in BD, technical sales, product marketing, or pre-sales - Strong understanding of drones/UAVs, embedded systems, robotics, or defence tech - Comfortable with ambiguity, fast execution, and wearing multiple hats - Good communication skills (technical + business) Bonus Points - Experience with defence, government, or enterprise customers - Startup or early-stage experience - UAV operations, flight controllers, GNSS, or autonomy exposure Why Join Us - Work on real, made-in-India aerospace products - High ownership, fast learning, real impact - Direct access to decision-makers (no layers) - Opportunity to grow into a Head of BD / GTM role as the company scales How to Apply email your CV + a short intro to To: [Confidential Information] Cc: [HIDDEN TEXT]
