Job Description

V2 Retail is looking for a Senior PostgreSQL Developer to join our growing IT team. The role involves managing and optimizing large-scale databases, developing efficient SQL scripts, and leading database-driven projects. You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure robust data performance and availability across all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
- Optimize database performance using indexing, query tuning, partitioning, and caching strategies
- Develop scalable data models, schemas, and structures for enterprise-grade systems
- Support ETL processes, data migrations, and enterprise integrations
- Ensure database stability, backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Investigate performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot database-related issues
- Collaborate with IT, BI, analytics, and business teams to provide data solutions
- Lead database-related projects and mentor junior developers on best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL Developer or Database Engineer
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL optimization, performance tuning, and high-volume data transactions
- Strong knowledge of database design principles: normalization, indexing, and partitioning
- Experience with ETL tools and managing data pipelines
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Shell, etc.)
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and data privacy regulations
