Role Overview

The Team Manager – Admissions will lead and oversee the end-to-end admissions process at Dayananda Sagar University. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong leadership, strategic planning, and people management skills to drive student enrollment targets, enhance the admissions experience, and build strong outreach programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of higher education systems, proven success in admissions strategy, and expertise in leading diverse teams to achieve excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Admissions & Enrolment Management

- Develop, implement, and monitor effective admissions strategies to achieve enrollment targets across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
- Supervise the admissions team, ensuring smooth handling of inquiries, applications, counseling, assessments, and conversions.
- Establish and track KPIs for admissions performance, ensuring transparency and efficiency in processes.
- Maintain accurate admissions records and prepare periodic MIS reports for leadership.

Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of admission counselors and executives.
- Conduct training sessions to improve team effectiveness in counseling, communication, and student engagement.
- Foster a high-performance culture that prioritizes student satisfaction and result-driven outcomes.

Outreach & Engagement

- Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, coaching centers, and other educational partners.
- Represent the University at education fairs, seminars, and student engagement events nationally and internationally.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to design campaigns that strengthen the University’s brand visibility.

Process Improvement & Compliance

- Streamline admissions processes using technology and best practices to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation guidelines.
- Regularly review and update admission policies to align with academic goals and market needs.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong leadership and people management skills with proven ability to manage large teams.
- In-depth knowledge of admissions, student recruitment, and enrollment management in higher education.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Data-driven approach with experience in CRM, ERP, and admissions management systems.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to design and implement long-term enrollment growth plans.
- High adaptability, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Qualification & Experience

- Master’s Degree in Management, Education, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within admissions/student recruitment.
- Demonstrated record of achieving admissions targets and leading high-performing teams.
