Designation Lab Technologist- Optometry Key Responsibilities Maintain and calibrate optometric instruments and diagnostic equipment e g slit lamps retinoscopes autorefractors Set up lab sessions for refraction binocular vision contact lens and ocular diagnostics Assist faculty during practical demonstrations and student training sessions Maintain inventory of lab materials instruments and consumables raise purchaserequirements when needed Assist in preparing and organizing clinical records simulation tools and case studies foracademic use Train students in the proper handling and care of optometric instruments Qualifications Skills Required Bachelor s degree in Optometry B Optom from a recognized institution Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience in clinical and academic optometrylaboratories Proficiency in handling and demonstrating optometric instruments and clinicalprocedures Basic knowledge of IT tools for lab records and equipment management systems Certification in specialized optometric diagnostics or instrument maintenance preferredbut not mandatory Job Location Singtam Sikkim About Medhavi Skills University Medhavi Skills University MSU is a government notified and UGC DGT NSDC recognized Skills University of North East India which has been established with the passage of the Medhavi Skills University Act 2021 by the Sikkim State Government MSU is promoted by a group of IIT IIM Alumni with a vision to bring convergence of the skilling ecosystem with the higher education tracks by promoting in demand Skill Integrated Higher Education linked to Employability and career progression MSU is the first of its kind pioneering university model where corporates industries are the stakeholders and influencers in curriculum design programme delivery and for providing practical skills training via on-the-job training opportunities Website www msu edu in Job Type Full-time Pay 15 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Work Location In person
