Assistant Manager Tax We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Specialist to manage all tax-related matters for our Indian operations This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with Indian tax regulations while supporting the broader tax strategy of the organization Key Responsibilities Handle all aspects of direct and indirect taxation in India including GST TDS income tax and transfer pricing compliance Oversee prepare and file periodic tax returns and ensure timely payments Design and implement local tax processes and a robust tax compliance management system Act as the primary liaison with external tax consultants auditors and local authorities Monitor changes in Indian tax laws and provide strategic advice to senior management Manage internal and external audits including statutory and tax audits Drive tax planning and risk management initiatives for the Indian entity Ensure accurate documentation and reporting for all tax-related matters Contribute to quarterly and annual closing according to IFRS with respect to current and deferred tax calculations as well as other tax-related internal and external reporting obligations Maintain communication with the parent company in Germany as the tax contact for the India subsidiary Requirements Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting Finance or a related field Chartered Accountant CA CPA or similar qualification preferred 812 years of relevant experience in Indian tax compliance and advisory In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills in English Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus
