Position Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and fast-learning Analyst, Sales Compensation to join our team at EDB. This position will report to the USA-based Senior Manager, Sales Compensation and India-based Senior Analyst, Sales Compensation. The Analyst will work with the team to ensure accuracy and timeliness within the incentive compensation process. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with proven analytical skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Main Function
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting key aspects of EDB&aposs monthly incentive compensation process. Working closely with team members, Sales, and Revenue Operations, you will contribute to accurate and timely incentive compensation, ensuring compliance with policies and helping drive continuous improvement.
Main Duties
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Commission Plan Administration: Administer complex sales compensation plans, including but not limited to, calculating commissions, bonuses, and accelerators for a diverse sales team.
- SPIFF Platform Management: Leverage expertise in the Salesforce SPIFF compensation platform to configure plans, manage data imports/exports, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, forecast commission payouts, and provide insights to sales leadership. Generate accurate and timely reports for various stakeholders.
- Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve commission-related inquiries and disputes in a professional and timely manner, ensuring clear communication and accurate adjustments.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve sales compensation processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Plan Documentation & Communication: Distribution of sales compensation plan document. Provide clear communication to the sales team regarding plan details and plan changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, HR, and other departments to ensure alignment and data integrity.
- Compliance: Ensure all compensation practices adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of direct experience as a compensation, sales operations, or financial analyst.
- Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with global teams.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to interpret and apply corporate policies, ensuring compliance across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and capabilities, with a strong ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team and contribute to successful project outcomes.
- Growth mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, learn from challenges, and support continuous improvement.
- Experience working in a remote environment for a global organization is strongly preferred.
