Job description

A senior IT administrator is a high-level professional responsible for overseeing the management and maintenance, of an organization's information technology infrastructure. They play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications. They are responsible to support end user requirement and reported issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

- System Administration: Administering and managing operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or macOS. This includes configuring, troubleshooting of laptop/desktop , managing user accounts, emails and permissions, and monitoring system performance and reliability.
- Software and Application Management: Managing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications used by the organization. This includes implementing updates, patches, and security measures, as well as troubleshooting application issues.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Overseeing the configuration, deployment, and management of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other related applications. Good working knowledge on Azure Directory Administration, SharePoint Administration, Teams Administration, Intune administration and other admin portfolios of M365.
- End-User Support and Training: Providing technical support and training to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications and features. Assisting users with configuration, troubleshooting, and usage guidance to maximize productivity.
- Keeping Up with M365 Updates and Best Practices: Staying informed about new features, updates, and best practices related to Microsoft 365. Evaluating and recommending enhancements or optimizations to leverage the full potential of the M365 suite.
- ITES systems and services: Good knowledge of installation, maintenance and management of IT enabled services like access control systems , CCTV monitoring , visitor management systems etc. and able to assist their integration support with other platforms.
- IT Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support and guidance to users within the organization. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and assisting users with IT-related inquiries.
- Network Administration: Overseeing the organization's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Configuring network devices, monitoring network traffic, and ensuring network security are essential tasks.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Generating reports on system performance, security incidents, and IT service metrics.
- Stay Updated with Technology Trends: Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and relevant certifications. Evaluating and recommending new technologies or solutions that can improve the organization's IT infrastructure and operations.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

- This role requires in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential for providing effective support and training to end-users.
- Additionally, staying current with Microsoft certifications relevant to M365 administration is highly recommended.
- Effective hardware and software problem solving abilities
- Knowledge of IP telephony , attendance systems , access control systems , etc.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Good analytical skills and communication skills. Ability to identify the problems and find creative solution within in the timeline.
