Job Description

IMS Nucleii is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, with expertise in installing and upgrading computer components and software, managing virtual servers, and integrating automation processes. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
  • Expertise in analysing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication
  • Knowledge of Networking concept
  • Maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware
