As a Capacity & Demand Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our testing infrastructure is optimized to meet current and future demand. You will analyze data, forecast trends, and develop strategies to effectively manage capacity and demand for our testing services. This position requires a keen understanding of statistical analysis, operational efficiency, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Data Analysis: Utilize statistical techniques to analyze historical data and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in testing demand.
- Demand Forecasting: Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to anticipate future testing needs.
- Capacity Planning: Assess the current capacity of our testing infrastructure and identify areas for improvement to meet projected demand. This may involve collaborating with the Channel Management teams to optimize test center schedules and operating hours.
- Resource Allocation: Work closely with operational teams to allocate resources effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of testing facilities, personnel, and technology.
- Scenario Modeling: Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of various factors (e.g., seasonal fluctuations, new product launches) on testing demand and capacity requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to capacity and demand planning initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of capacity and demand planning initiatives and regularly report on performance to stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine capacity and demand planning processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
ETS is mission driven and action oriented
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and techniques, such as regression analysis, time series forecasting, and Monte Carlo simulation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and other data analysis tools. Experience with statistical software such as R or Python is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education
- Bachelor&aposs degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field. Master&aposs degree preferred.
- Proven experience in capacity planning, demand forecasting, or a related analytical role, preferably in a technology-driven or testing environment.
