Job Description
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive Purchase Requisition (PR) reviews to ensure alignment with project specifications and budgetary requirements.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for Capex, Opex, bulk materials, and services to meet operational needs.
- Prepare and finalize contracts and order placements, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.
- Manage procurement through rate contracts to achieve cost efficiency and operational reliability.
- Oversee post-order management, including delivery tracking, quality assurance, and payment processing.
- Identify, onboard, and manage supplier/vendor relationships to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier/vendor performance using key metrics and analytics.
- Foster supplier/vendor engagement to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Utilize data analytics tools to identify procurement trends, optimize sourcing strategies, and mitigate risks.
- Implement risk management practices to address supply chain vulnerabilities and ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience of 15+ years in techno-commercial roles within the thermal power or energy sector.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor management for large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex contracts and negotiate favorable terms.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred) or equivalent.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management or Operations (preferred).
