We are looking for a User Assistance UA developer to help build a portfolio of assets for Oracle Essbase You will analyze learning requirements for the product and produce content for these formats documentation videos tutorials workshops etc You are expected to have or quickly attain subject matter expertise on analytic and business modeling from multi-dimensional analysis to complex procedural business logic You will translate your product solution knowledge into effective UA assets that will enable customers partners employees to quickly and effectively deploy use Oracle Essbase This position requires solid technical aptitude excellent writing skills and the ability to complete projects with minimal supervision Proven ability to develop new material and organize it logically is critical Previous experience developing user assistance for analytic products applications is highly desirable Technical expertise in Oracle Essbase or competitive products is highly desirable The role involves researching new product features and new technology in a fast-paced development environment Flexibility good spirits and a strong DITA background are essential We provide the opportunity for continuous learning and the acquiring of new skills We work intensively in an Agile development environment with fellow UA Developers product managers engineers and quality assurance and support engineers We are responsive to customer needs and input as well as to internal requirements Our writers focus not only on writing excellent content but also on the technical aspects of publishing the assets to our customers Career Level - IC3 Responsibilities Create a variety of user assistance for your assigned product which may include documentation tutorials videos embedded help in UI sample code eBooks infographics training courses and certification exams following user assistance development processes templates and standards using various tools and systems Perform job task analyses and create user assistance design documents to identify common user tasks to be addressed through user assistance Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop user assistance vision documents which will include the product use cases common tasks and user personas Recognize problems with and recommend enhancements for user assistance for group team and department and share with management Develop lab modules that include scripts plus other files needed for successful completion of the labs in creating training courses Participate in the validation testing of these labs to ensure delivery of a repeatable and predictable hands-on lab environment Respond to queries on help forums or mailing lists and act as Subject Matter Expert SME for assigned products Participate in internal tasks forces related to user assistance and other technical matters Participate in discussions at user assistance and feature team meetings Ensure best practices for usability of user assistance by involving SMEs and customers in user needs analysis Develop and review certification exam items About Us As a world leader in cloud solutions Oracle uses tomorrow
