Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager / Plant Manager to oversee the end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless production processes, timely order completion, and adherence to top-quality standards. This role involves strategic planning, performance tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence. Strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of glass manufacturing are essential for optimizing efficiency and resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Execution:

- Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to align with company objectives.
- Implement and monitor production plans across departments, including Crane Operations, DGU/Lamination, Seaming, and Tempering.
- Track production progress, address bottlenecks, and ensure timely product deliveries.

2. Team Leadership & Management:

- Lead, mentor, and manage production staff, including department heads and workers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure effective coordination between teams, motivating them to achieve production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide continuous training to enhance team capabilities.

3. Resource & Inventory Management:

- Maintain adequate stock of essential materials and consumables required for production.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the General Manager to mitigate shortages proactively.
- Manage labor and resource allocation efficiently to prevent production delays.

4. Quality Control & Process Optimization:

- Ensure all products meet industry standards and client specifications, maintaining strict quality control measures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement corrective actions and minimize rework or defects.
- Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and safety improvements.

5. Production Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

- Analyze production data, including output, rejection rates, and rework, ensuring performance targets are met.
- Provide detailed production reports to senior management, highlighting any operational discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate production logs, ensuring transparency in output tracking.

6. Maintenance & Equipment Management:

- Supervise maintenance activities and ensure timely repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Enforce preventive maintenance schedules to extend machinery lifespan and prevent unexpected breakdowns.

7. Health, Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations to create a secure working environment.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for handling machinery, chemicals, and glass products, particularly in high-risk zones.

8. Project Coordination & Client Liaison:

- Align production schedules with project timelines, collaborating closely with sales and business development teams.
- Address production-related queries and concerns from clients and internal stakeholders promptly.

9. Reporting & Documentation:

- Maintain precise records of production data, machine performance, quality control reports, and inventory.
- Prepare detailed performance reports for senior management and support audit processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor&aposs degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in production or plant management, preferably in the architectural glass or building materials industry.
- Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading production teams and meeting targets within tight deadlines.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of glass processing techniques, production systems, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and ERP software.
- Additional Skills: Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational abilities. Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic work environment.
