Job Description We are actively seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Executive - Inventory Planner to join our client's team through Acme Services. This pivotal role is responsible for developing comprehensive short-term and long-term supply plans, optimizing inventory levels across all Supply Chain Management (SCM) units, and ensuring seamless operations. The ideal candidate will leverage data analytics to identify trends, recommend procurement strategies for various seasons and campaigns, and collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to forecast demand accurately. Key Responsibilities - Supply Plan Development: Develop detailed weekly and monthly supply plans by product, article, and brand. These plans will be based on demand estimations received from relevant stakeholders to procure the required level of inventory and ensure the smooth operations of supply chain units. - Long-Term Inventory Strategy: Develop long-term inventory plans for SCM units by taking into account various considerations such as catchment preferences, peak seasons, planned campaigns, and market trends. - Procurement Recommendation: Identify the volume and type of inventory that needs to be procured and up-stocked during seasons, festivals, and campaigns, and recommend the same to the Head of Supply Inventory Planning. - Inventory Monitoring & Optimization: Constantly monitor the amount of inventory available across SCM units (buffer stock) to effectively manage its utilization and avoid over/under stocking. - Data Analysis & Insights: Leverage data through analytics dashboards, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights. These insights will help create robust short-term and long-term supply and inventory management plans for the SCM units. - Process Improvement: Study existing supply and inventory management processes in SCM units, analyze the root cause of any identified issues, and provide suggestions for improvement to enhance operational efficiency. - Demand Planning & Inventory Buys: Utilize current and historical shipment information, market trends, and POS (Point-of-Sale) data to develop demand plans and execute inventory buys. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal sales and operations teams to develop specific forecasts down to the SKU-level and anticipate changes which can impact planning. Skills - Proven expertise in developing weekly and monthly supply plans. - Strong ability to create long-term inventory plans considering market dynamics. - Skilled in identifying and recommending procurement volumes for various periods. - Proficiency in monitoring and managing buffer stock to prevent over/under stocking. - Adept at leveraging data from analytics dashboards to draw insights for planning. - Experience in studying existing processes, analyzing root causes, and providing improvement suggestions. - Competence in using shipment information, market trends, and POS data for demand planning and inventory buys. - Excellent collaboration skills with sales and operations teams for SKU-level forecasting. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field. - Proven experience in inventory planning, supply chain management, or a similar analytical role. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
