Job Description
Key Responsibilities.
- Credit Underwriting & Risk Management:
Assess creditworthiness of commercial vehicle loan applicants, conduct thorough credit analysis, and evaluate financial risk to ensure sound decision-making.
- Team Leadership:
Manage and guide a team of credit professionals or underwriters, providing training and direction on credit policies and processes.
- Business Growth & Dealership Relations:
Work with sales teams and maintain strong relationships with dealerships to drive business volume for commercial vehicle loans.
- Policy Adherence & Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Portfolio Management:
Monitor and control delinquencies by proactively contacting customers, ensuring timely loan processing, and resolving customer issues.
- Process Improvement:
Recommend and implement process changes to enhance efficiency, improve service quality, and drive operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
Typically requires 14+ years of experience in credit management, specifically within auto or commercial vehicle finance, or a related BFSI role.
- Education:
Qualifications such as CA, ICWAI, or an MBA/PGDM from a reputable institution are often preferred.
- Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in credit analysis, risk assessment, and underwriting principles for commercial vehicles.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
