Job Title: Community Specialist About the Role The Community Specialist role supports Organisations' online communities and plays an important role in helping keep our groups organized, active, and running smoothly. This is an early-career role ideal for someone who is interested in social media, online community engagement, events, or content operations-and is excited to learn and grow on the job. Working closely with the U.S.-based Community Team, the Community Specialist helps review membership requests, organize daily community activity, track conversations, assist with content repurposing efforts, and support various community programs. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and a willingness to learn how to use AI tools and community workflows to improve efficiency and deliver meaningful insights. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in community operations, social media support, and content organization within a fast-paced tech environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Community Operations 2. Membership Review & Processing: Review and process membership requests across community groups, ensuring accuracy and proper data tracking. 3. Post Moderation: Approve, reject, and log posts based on set criteria to help maintain a positive and organized community environment. 4. Community Activity Auditing: Assist with weekly reviews of community activity to ensure posts receive the appropriate staff follow-up. 5. Content & Program Support 6. Content & Data Tracking: Record and organize daily posts, community interactions, and insights to support content planning and reporting. 7. Program Support: Review, process, and track applications for programs such as brand evangelists, ensuring information is accurate and up to date. 8. Content Repurposing: Assist with identifying and organizing community moments that can be repurposed into blogs, video clips, or marketing campaigns. 9. Admin & Research Tasks 10. Swag Fulfillment: Review and process community swag requests to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. 11. Community Research: Learn to identify trending discussions, FAQs, and potential content topics that support marketing, engagement, and education initiatives. 12. AI & Workflow Support: Learn and leverage AI tools to improve efficiency in tracking, content discovery, and daily workflows. 13. Cross-Team Collaboration: Support Community Managers by gathering information, organizing content, and assisting with internal and external community initiatives as needed. Qualifications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and communicating across time zones Ability to prepare clear, concise, and error-free reports for internal stakeholders Nice-to-Have Qualifications Exposure to social media, community platforms, events, or online engagement Basic familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, etc.) or interest in learning how to use them Experience with data entry, administrative work, or organizing content Interest in online communities, customer engagement, or content operations
