Sales Manager Job Description

Job Title: Sales Manager

- Minimum 36 years of B2B sales and tendering experience, with at least 3 years in inspection or staffing agency environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle including lead generation, qualification, and deal closures.
- Drive tendering activities on government (GeM, eProcurement) and private platforms.
- Manage the preparation of technical/commercial RFQs, BOQs, RFPs, and client documentation.
- Own and maintain an accurate and actionable sales pipeline and funnel in the CRM system.
- Develop customized proposals, cost estimates, and contract documentation.
- Conduct client meetings (virtual and onsite) to pitch solutions and convert leads to revenue.
- Coordinate internally with the tendering, operations, and delivery teams for proposal finalization.
- Forecast revenue targets, track performance against KPIs, and report sales analytics to management.
- Stay updated on competitor movements, market trends, and client procurement plans.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 3+ years experience in technical B2B sales/tendering with staffing, inspection, or EPC support services.
- Strong understanding of BOQ formats, tender pricing structures, and proposal lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, CRM tools, and eTender platforms (ARIBA etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience handling multi-location clients or institutional/PSU accounts.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Capability to lead or mentor junior sales/tendering executives.
