About Kennametal With over 80 years as an industrial technology leader Kennametal Inc delivers productivity to customers through materials science tooling and wear-resistant solutions Customers across aerospace and defense earthworks energy general engineering and transportation turn to Kennametal to help them manufacture with precision and efficiency Every day approximately 8 700 employees are helping customers in nearly 100 countries stay competitive Kennametal generated 2 1 billion in revenues in fiscal 2023 Learn more at Follow Kennametal Twitter Instagram Facebook LinkedIn and YouTube Job Title Architect Tech Lead IT Business Solutions SAP MM-Purchase - India Job Location Bangalore Job Summary An excellent opportunity has become available to join Kennametal as an IT Business Solutions Architect Applications The Business Solutions Architect will act as a subject matter expert to our SAP MM-Sourcing team providing project and operational support across the SAP MM Sourcing modules and their associated applications This is a critical role within our business that forms part of the Global IT and Shared Services Solutions Team The successful candidate will identify and deliver upon agreed business solutions that focus on the areas of Purchasing and materials management at Kennametal The Business Solutions Architect will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to design and deliver optimal solutions for the global Purchasing team and experienced in all aspects of the purchasing cycle Responsibilities Identify and develop solutions that support the business within Kennametal s technology framework Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions Research and evaluate alternative technology solutions Using a matrixed team plan schedule and deliver business solutions Help to drive the best out of the sourcing and financial management systems Liaison with other internal IT and business functions to comprehensively resolve issues Identify technology development improvement opportunities and prepare action plans Identify and implement new uses of information technologies to assist Kennametal in meeting its strategic objectives Manage projects as needed typically less than a year in duration Plan and manage own work and others as required Ensure quality timeliness efficiency and effectiveness of deliverables while providing regular and accurate status to the business areas and line manager Provide expertise on strategic issues and projects Manage and participate in cross-functional teams and SAP projects Represent and promote Kennametal through participation in technology community activities industry groups and associations Typical Education and work experience BS BA Degree preferably degree in Computer Science Information Systems 6-8 years of experience configuring and supporting SAP Purchasing and MM modules ECC6 or S4 Excellent written and oral communication collaboration and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment Ability to manage a team and work in a team environment as well as independently Ability to work with internal business partners to understand define business requirements manage expectations implement solutions that meet business objectives Strong analytical problem solving and organizational skills Commitment to detail quality and continuous improvement under tight deadlines Equal Opportunity Employer
