Product Design Lead ( 6-Month Contract)

Location: Bangalore

Type: Full-Time Contract (6 months, with possibility of extension)

Experience Required: 57 years in B2C product design

We are hiring a Product Design Lead to take ownership of end-to-end design across high-impact consumer-facing products. This role is perfect for an experienced designer who thrives at the intersection of product thinking, design craft, and leadership. Youll be responsible for shaping product experiences from initial concept through launch, ensuring they are functional, visually compelling, and emotionally resonant.

As a design leader, youll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and marketers to define the design vision, drive execution, and elevate the quality of work across the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead design for multiple product streams, owning the process from research and concept to delivery and iteration.
- Create scalable design frameworks, ensuring consistency across features and platforms.
- Translate user insights and business objectives into elegant, usable, and delightful product experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to define product vision, priorities, and execution strategies.
- Oversee prototyping, usability testing, and design validation to inform product decisions.
- Provide mentorship and feedback to designers, fostering a culture of craft excellence and user-first thinking.
- Advocate for design at all stages of the product lifecycle, ensuring it plays a central role in decision-making.

What You Bring

- 57 years of experience in B2C product design, with a strong mix of UX, UI, and interaction design skills.
- A portfolio showcasing high-quality product work with clear articulation of design rationale and impact.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring designers within cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and prototyping platforms.
- Ability to work with complex requirements and turn them into simple, user-centered solutions.
- Strong storytelling and presentation skills to communicate ideas and influence stakeholders.
