Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Lead to manage procurement operations for our sourcing business. This role will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials for our SME customers. This is a strategic and operational role that will work closely with category managers, logistics, finance, and risk teams to ensure procurement is aligned with business goals. Job Responsibilities: ● Lead end-to-end procurement and purchasing operations for assigned categories (e.g., base metals, polymers, agri, etc.) ● Identify and onboard qualified suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal quality and vetting standards ● Drive supplier negotiations to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines ● Work closely with category managers and customers to understand demand forecasts and align sourcing plans accordingly ● Collaborate with logistics, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth execution of orders and resolution of operational issues ● Maintain accurate records of POs, contracts, pricing, and supplier performance ● Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support long-term sourcing strategy ● Monitor market trends and price movements to make informed purchasing decisions ● Implement cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality or service.
