capability center at Bangalore India as Director Business Analytics In this critical global leadership role you will be responsible for building and leading a brand-new team of proactive data-driven insight partners for corporate and functional leadership at Barracuda As part of your charter you will use strong business acumen and analytics expertise to drive insight generation that will support revenue and user growth through improved subscription renewals and new account activation churn reduction profit margin improvements and product lifecycle management initiatives for Barracuda The contributions of your team and you as a leader will have a big positive impact on the companys progress as it rapidly evolves its business model and product portfolio as a top global player in the rapidly growing cybersecurity industry As a thought leader and business partner you will work closely with executive leaders globally from Finance Sales Product and Data Engineering You will connect the dots by analyzing data across the enterprise to answer critical business questions and proactively identify insights that drive business impact and growth opportunities As a people leader you will coach and inspire a team of talented analytics individual contributors to work innovatively and collaboratively together to help senior decision-makers at Barracuda understand business and product performance ROI on investments identify opportunities for growth and help connect learnings across functions for strategic planning What you will be working on Lead and grow Bangalore-based global analytics and data science organization as a proactive insights-generating growth engine and trusted partner for Barracuda Use innovative and efficient ways to extract and analyze relevant data and metrics from across the organization and deliver insights that enable decision making enhance customer experience and drive better business outcomes Build scalability of analytics impact across Barracuda Increase employee engagement with talent development team building and servant leadership Improve stakeholder engagement through shared goals deep collaboration a seat at the table and a cross-functional global consultative support model Lead by example by going deep into the data and troubleshooting issues with analysis rolling up sleeves as and when required on projects and focus teams output on practical solutions Be key voice and influencer as part of broader Data Analytics leadership community at Barracuda help drive innovation and adoption of data insights tool and contribute to data governance initiatives What you bring to the role xc2xb7 Bachelors degree in a technical field with 15 years of relevant work experience or relevant Masters degree MBA with 13 years experience out of which 7-10 years are in a managerial role xc2xb7 Experience with analytics tools and methods e g using BI tools and coding techniques to extract insights experimentation frameworks like A B testing attribution models measuring incrementality of business actions statistical approaches for segmentation classification and prediction etc Prior experience with Gen AI tools will also be desirable xc2xb7 Proficiency with Advanced Excel is important Knowledge of SQL Apache Spark Python R multiple preferred is required to query transform compute and analyze the data xc2xb7 Additionally track record in leading cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives in the analytics space and delegating tasks and managing delivery across team is important xc2xb7 Prior experience in hiring coaching and developing individual contributors is necessary for this role xc2xb7 Ability to effectively influence communicate and present cross-functionally with all levels of management internally and externally Concise and engaging storytelling skills with Data visualization Charts Graphs and PowerPoint xc2xb7 Expertise in proactively identifying broad business or product issues opportunities and translating them into tactical projects and tasks that align with stakeholder priorities xc2xb7 Ability to speak with confidence and credibility to senior executives about the business value of analytics without being too technical with data scientists and other analysts globally about analytics methodologies to answer questions and with the Data Engineering IT side of the organization about data access integration xc2xb7 Strategic with proven demonstration of depth and breadth on multiple topics of interest in the business The execution should be agile efficient xc2xb7 Experience working in global multinational organizations is desirable Prior exposure to B2B Software-as-a-service SaaS subscription-based business model is a plus Developing awareness and understanding of the Barracuda business strategy and wider industry landscape is expected as part of working in this role xc2xb7 Prior experience with Databricks PowerBI and Salesforce will be desirable but not mandatory Experience with data visualization applications such as Tableau R Shiny Alteryx or QlikView etc is also relevant
