Job Description

Samay Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Analyst with a focus on Retail Technology to join our team. We are looking for an individual to analyze technology systems and processes for new feature implementation and design improvements. The person in this role will coordinate with engineering teams to analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration of the Point of Sale (POS) application with our omni-channel systems.

About the Team:

The Xstore POS application is a complex system that requires specialized knowledge to support. Given that most of our markets are on Oracle XStore 21 software, we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience in this domain to help analyze business requirements, design technical solutions and mapping documents, and ensure the seamless integration of the POS application with our omni-channel systems. We operate within an agile framework and encourage our teams to collaborate and deliver critical business initiatives.

A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Systems Analyst, you will collaborate with the program team on the following responsibilities and apply your proficiency to provide valuable support:

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the POS application.
- Build business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, for strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Ensure production data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness for guest and employee profiles, transactions, etc.
- Build and optimize monitoring and alerting capabilities across multiple integrations, not limited to POS.
- Automate report generation in Power BI, Splunk, etc., to get meaningful KPIs.
- Understand the architecture of applications and the technology stack to recommend appropriate strategies to ensure SLAs are met.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, QA testers, and IT support staff.
- Analyze real/actual data for business reporting, project decision-making, and production issues troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master&aposs degree is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, with a focus on POS applications.
- Proficiency in Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL.
- Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Knowledge of POS hardware and software integration. XStore POS-related experience is a significant asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and project management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
