You will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate reporting and improving the monthly close process. Your role will also include helping develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, reporting controls and financial compliance. Key duties and responsibilities: - Responsible for accounting for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and other accounting areas under local GAAP, with an understanding of differences to US GAAP. - Responsible for completing account reconciliations and ensuring that all balances have a substantiated audit trail. - Investigate intercompany balances and establish a process for matching. - Identify and understand the impact of variances to prior and plan. - Assist with the month-end close process and monthly reporting package. - Proactively identify areas for improvement and execute upon these improvements. Skills & Requirements Education/Primary Qualification - Education- post graduate in commerce / MBA with 7-9 Yrs of experience - Member of a professional accounting body, or equivalent professional qualification Knowledge and Experience - Minimum of 7-9 years of combined public accounting and private industry accounting experience, primarily in revenue, including multiple element arrangements - Previous experience with Netsuite and Blackline would be preferred - Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, Formulas, VLOOKUP functions) - [Experience of working in a business utilising an offshored transaction processing team] Specific Skills - Ability to collaborate and build relationships across the business - Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced technology company environment - Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) - Self-motivated, creative and innovative approach to problem-solving - Excellent organisational skills and superior attention to detail -
