The people here at Apple don t just build products- they craft the kind of wonder that has revolutionised entire industries It s the diversity of those people and their ideas that encourages the innovation that runs through everything we do from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts Imagine what you could do here Join Apple and help us leave the world better than we found it A job at Apple is unlike any other you ve had You will be challenged You will be inspired And you ll be proud At Apple phenomenal ideas have a way of becoming phenomenal products services and customer experiences very quickly Bring passion and dedication to your job and there s no telling what you could accomplish This position will give you the opportunity to bring our revolutionary products and amazing technology to the world by working closely with our global Apple teams to discover the root cause of product failures You will be given every resource you need to push the boundaries of what is possible to do the best work of your life DescriptionIn this role you will work in a lab environment on various electrical characterisation and fault isolation tools You will be responsible for performing hands-on electrical failure analysis to debug issues and precisely isolate the failures for further analysis You will have the opportunity to be creative and use your engineering and scientific knowledge to figure out the root cause of product failure and recommend corrective actions as well as present the findings to global teams and executives Understand the failure background and design the investigation plan Conduct the investigation utilising various bench-top electrical equipment and fault isolation techniques such as Time Domain Reflectometry TDR Lock-in Thermography LIT Infrared IR Imaging etc Report your findings and discuss or debate with your colleagues on the next steps conclusions and corrective actions Present the data in global meetings and or executive reviewsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering Hands-on experience in using Digital Multi-Meter DMM Source Measure Unit SMU Spectrum Analyser Oscilloscopes and fault isolation techniques such as Time Domain Reflectometry TDR and Lock-in Thermography LIT A good understanding of PCB design Ability to comprehend Gerber files Layouts Netlist Component Schematics and system-level assembly drawings CAD files Fluent English highly effective communication skills including the ability to seek out direction listen to feedback as well as communicate complex findings in a concise and understandable form Preferred Qualifications Analog high-speed digital design testing Failure analysis experience Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and work scope change to meet business needs strong aptitude for learning new techniques Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple high-priority tasks at the same time
